William Melvin Arnold known as Poppa, 56, of Odessa died Sept 27 2000 at Medical Center Hospital He was born Aug 21 1944 in Ranger to Lester and Alta Arnold He married Carol Keefer Feb 14 1963 in Monahans and moved to Odessa in 1968 He worked as a shop manager for Stoeher Wire Rope was an Elks member and enjoyed fishing darts billiards and bowling Graveside services were at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 6 p.m. Survivors include wife Carol and sons David Scott and Eric Arnold all of Odessa, brother Bearl Arnold of Eastland, sisters Irene Gonzalez Tom and Lou Barker, and many grandchildren.

A 21 year old Odessa woman reported 1765 damage to a 1998 Chevrolet Z-71 from 10 p.m. Sunday to 8:30 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of East Eighth Street.
