Reserved Houston gunman Nathan DeSai described by friends
The Houston attacker who shot at drivers injuring nine before police killed him appeared quiet and unobtrusive to those who knew him. Nathan DeSai, a 46 year old Indian born U.S. citizen, had once sang and played guitar in a rock cover band and changed his name from Niven after 9/11 to blend in. He faced prior complaints about water pressure at a condo complex and was worried about his failing law practice before the assault. Police say he wore military style clothing with Nazi emblems and carried two weapons with over 2500 rounds. Investigators continue to review motive and note he acted alone.
