Bard boot camp tests minds with writing focus
Bard College runs a three week Writing and Thinking boot camp for 215 members of the Class of 1985 funded by Booth Ferris and others. Teachers and students live in dorms and write extensively with no grades. President Leon Botstein says the program counters ill trained teachers and cosmetic language while stressing personal, powerful writing.
