Rig Count Drops Five To 1859 In US Week
Baker Hughes reports 1859 active rigs in the United States this week, down five from last week. Oil rigs totaled 1402 and gas rigs 454. California fell by five, Louisiana by three, while Pennsylvania added four. Alaska and West Virginia gained one each. New Mexico North Dakota and Wyoming unchanged. The historical range noted runs from 4530 in 1981 to 488 in 1999.
