Texas voters briefed on in person photo ID rules
Secretary of State John Steen reminds voters that in person voting requires a photo ID but the name on the ID need not match exactly. Early voting for the November 5 election is underway and ends Friday. The seven approved IDs include Texas driver license, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas personal identification card, Texas concealed handgun license, U S military ID, U S citizenship certificate, and U S passport. With exceptions for the citizenship certificate, IDs must be current or expired no more than 60 days. Mostly sunny with NE winds 5 to 10 mph.

Two men injured after Friday chase ends in shootout

Three Vehicle Crash Injures Seven In Garden Dale
A three vehicle crash on Highway 158 near Dogwood Avenue in Garden Dale injured seven people. A Kia Optima rear ended an eastbound Navigator, causing it to veer into the westbound Suburban which rolled onto its side. The Optima driver fled the scene. One Suburban occupant was extricated and flown to Medical Center Hospital in critical condition. The seven victims were all hospitalized and identifications were not released.
