Ailing killer confesses to multi murder case in dying days
Robert Spangler, 67, after learning he had cancer, confessed to killing his first wife and three children in 1978 and pushing his third wife to her death at the Grand Canyon in 1993. He faces murder charges in Colorado and is jailed in Phoenix as prosecutors weigh death-penalty options. The disclosure stunned former in-laws, neighbors, and his acting troupe, who recalled him as a trusted neighbor and entertainer.
