Olney Town Honors Rare Albino Squirrels With Festival
Olney Illinois marks 200 white squirrels including a 5K scamper and a monument unveiling. City Clerk Belinda Henton known as The Squirrel Lady runs a squirrel hospital at home while officers display patches and ordinances deter harassing any squirrel. The colony, one of three in North America, has been noted since 1902 in the 9,000 population town about 120 miles east of St. Louis.
