Duets Rise in Popular Songs Across Billboard Charts
Billboard notes a surge in duet and featured-artist songs in recent years. From 1993 no top 25 duets existed, to five in top 25 by mid-decade, then four in top 25 last year, with several top 10 spots now hosting collaborations. Adult Contemporary and Adult Top 40 show frequent featuring credits, while country and rock remain less duet oriented. Santana teams with Michelle Branch. Toby Keith and Willie Nelson have a notable duet in country.
