Slayings Link Two Decades in Atlanta Area Case
Fulton County District Attorney Lewis Slaton ties 12 1981 killings of young Black victims to two 1980 slayings and the latest murder of 27 year old Nathaniel Cater. Officials say the assailant is very strong or well trained with many victims asphyxiated and bodies found nude near rivers. The case suggests a single perpetrator behind about half of a 28 slayings wave, while a consumer affairs official urges prosecution of a victims’ group for failing to register as a charitable organization.
