OPD arrests arson suspect in fatal April fire

She faces burglary of a habitation and tampering with evidence felonies and is held on bonds totaling 115000 at the Ector County Detention Center. Police say the ex girlfriend had threatened the homeowner after their relationship ended and a search warrant led to her arrest after evidence of data destruction and remote phone erasure.

A compiled list shows police logged aggravated robbery in the 200 block of North Grant Avenue at 7 55 a m Tuesday. An assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the 6200 block of East Highway 80 shortly after 3 a m Tuesday. A burglary of a habitation was reported in the 3500 block of Brentwood Drive at 1 42 a m Tuesday. Other reports include driving while intoxicated in the 900 block of East 16th Street at 12 48 a m Tuesday and theft of a Glock G42 from a 2015 silver Dodge Ram in the 4000 block of East 42nd Street. Unauthorized use of vehicles involved a gray 2010 Cadillac CTS in the 1700 block of East 12th Street, a Dodge Ram in the 0 block of West Eighth Street, and a silver Altima in the 900 block of East 18th Street with Tuesday timestamps.
