Odessa City Council Allocates 1.27 Million in Grants
The Odessa City Council approved 1.27 million dollars in federal Community Development Block Grants and HOME funds, with Odessa receiving 25 percent less than last year. Several groups including Meals on Wheels Odessa Permian Basin Community Centers and Vacant Property Clearance & Security Program received full funding while Odessa Links and Odessa Affordable Housing did not. The meeting also approved over 6.2 million in one time supplemental funding for projects.
