Woman’s Fight Sparks Fatal Shooting at Pussycat Lounge

An affi davit says a 23 year old Steven Uresti sparked a brawl at the Pussycat Lounge on Solo Road early Saturday by assaulting a woman. He allegedly drew a handgun and fired into the crowd, killing 17 year old Martin Blea Jr, a Midland Lee student. Uresti is sought on first degree murder charges. authorities confirm spelling as Uresti. The incident occurred after 3 30 a m and involved a 30 year old woman linked to Raquel Torres.

Texas Senate OKs parental consent for newborn blood samples

The bill would require parental permission to store a newborns blood sample for research and require opt-in rather than opt-out for the Department of State Health Services use beyond disease.
