Owners of Barbaro suffer another loss on Preakness day
On Preakness Saturday at Pimlico, Gretchen and Roy Jackson watched their colt Barbaro lineage lose a filly named Pram edya to a track breakdown and euthanize on the course while jockey Daniel Centeno fractured his collarbone. Homeboykins also collapsed after winning the opening race, sparking concerns over cardiovascular failure on a wet turf. The day ended with Exaggerator defeating Nyquist in the 141st Preakness Stakes.
