Downtown Wells aims to spark downtown business growth in Odessa
Downtown Wells backs a plan to transform Odessa's downtown into a more inviting district with trees lighting and streetscape upgrades. Main Street Odessa surveyed 511 workers and found interest in lofts dining and amenities while 31 buildings and 14 sites are for sale. Construction on Fifth Street streetscape funded by a 1.426 million TxDOT grant will start next year with city match. Main Street Odessa operates under the Texas Main Street Program and stages Hot Summer Nights and Fourth of July events to draw residents and workers downtown.
