A Radium Springs man Bobby J. Chavez Jr., 23, died May 12 at Midland Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered in a May 5 two vehicle crash on FM 1788, 13 miles west of Midland. A 2005 Kenworth towing a 2006 Dragon semi collided with Chavez in clear, dry weather after the truck blocked both lanes. DPS and local authorities investigated. the driver of the Kenworth was not identified.
