Flooded Ector County faces flood damage and possible disaster
Ector County Judge Susan Redford said 100 residents reported flood damage in a week long damage reporting window. Precinct 1 Commissioner Freddie Gardner noted heavy damage in western and northern areas, runoff worsened by Odessa expansion, and ponds near Johnson Ranch helped mitigate flooding. Officials expect a Perry office visit to Odessa to assess and possible state disaster declaration. The county library and other buildings have been cleared of water and debris removal continues.
