A crash involving an ambulance left one dead and three injured. Roy Young, 53, of Abilene died at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Demetrius Larez, 22, of Lubbock, sustained minor injuries in the rear of the vehicle. Both patients were from Lubbock.
DFW will add 57 trace detection machines as a temporary step toward full electronic screening. Terminals A and C handle American Airlines flights while other carriers use Terminals B and E. Officials expect the first terminal to switch to underground conveyor screening this fall. TSA's Andrea McCauley notes the shift toward complete electronic checks nationwide.
