Former Alamo guardians claim victory over bureaucratic bullying
A Texas guardians group, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, says it has prevailed in a dispute with the General Land Office over ownership of about 38 000 Alamo library items donated to the Daughters since 1905. The case, once headed toward trial, centers on whether items belong to the nonprofit or the state, with the Daughters planning to move the collection to Texas A M University by July.

She enjoys gardening and flowers and also takes equine class to learn about horses, cattle, and swine. Her grandma was a master gardener, fueling her flower interest.
