Driver in One-Vehicle Crash Collides With Utility Pole
A blue Chevrolet Silverado 1500 driven south on Andrews Highway near East 38th Street collided with a utility pole after the driver suffered a medical episode. Deane Redlon, 54, was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa in good condition with non life threatening injuries. Redlon was cited for failing to control speed. Odessa Police said the pole was bent but the scene did not require further traffic closure.

Lockdown at Burnet Elementary Clears Quickly
Burnet Elementary School on Maple Avenue was placed in a lockdown for about 15 minutes Tuesday morning after a caller warned of a possible armed man. A news release said the report was false, the man turned out to be an unarmed parent who came to the office. All students and staff are safe.
