Warrant details abuse and death of disabled teen in Idalou
An arrest warrant reveals a mentally disabled 18 year old from Idalou northeast of Lubbock was found dead with her uterus removed inside a partially burned family home. Her mother, jailed on aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person, and her stepfather, charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, face further charges as authorities investigate the death. The teen had told a school worker that her stepfather impregnated her and that her mother knew of the abuse dating back to 2008. The 15-year-old sister’s past abuse is mentioned but no charges are yet filed.
