Raiders Bid for Anti Trust Trial Faces Ticket Scalp Ruling
In Los Angeles federal judge Harry Pregerson barred Raiders from presenting ticket scalping claims against the NFL in the antitrust trial against the league. The ruling blocks Georgia Frontiere and Pete Rozelle conspiracy evidence as prejudicial. Raiders attorney Alioto says the suit may still prove alleged anti competitive moves to keep the team out of Los Angeles. NFL attorney Patrick Lynch says the ruling aids a focused trial, with an 80 to 90 percent chance the case proceeds to trial, possibly three months long.
