U S climbers conquer difficult summit route on Cholatse
Six American climbers led by Al Read scaled Mount Cholatse in Nepal, describing the ascent as one of the Himalayas most technically challenging routes. Four Americans reached the summit after April 22, with Dr Peter Hackett forced to drop due to flu. Roskelley and team praised the ice route, deeming it harder than Everest faces, while planning future Everest attempts.
