Odessa Council debates eminent domain and property deals
In Odessa a briefing precedes a meeting as District 3 Councilwoman Barbara Graff opposes using eminent domain on properties where owners have not accepted offers. She later votes to approve the resolution. The city plans over 115 million for acquisitions including renters relocation, with costs likely rising beyond that figure. The Freemasons Lodge opposes offers yet to be disclosed. The road widening aims to five lanes near the YMCA, with construction potentially starting this year.
