Security guard hailed as warrior in Red Lake school attack
Derrick Brun, 28, remembered as a hero after confronting teen shooter Jeff Weise at Red Lake High School. Brun’s sacrifice allowed another guard to guide students to safety as authorities say Weise killed six others, including teacher Neva Rogers. Funeral services for Brun and Rogers were held as investigators probe a possible wider plot.
