McALESTER Judge Known For Fairness Oversees Nichols Trial
Judge Steven W. Taylor, longtime McAlester resident, will preside over Terry Nichols's trial in Oklahoma City. Known as a straight shooter, he moved the case to his hometown to ensure fairness, seating jurors quickly and asserting control in a high profile case with possible death penalty. Nichols faces 161 murder-related charges from the Murrah building bombing.
