Lawmakers denounce Trump cut to Meals on Wheels
GOP and Democratic lawmakers condemn President Trump's budget proposal that would reduce funding for Meals on Wheels. Mulvaney argued funding should go to programs that work, triggering protests as the program feeds nearly a million meals daily through 5,000 local groups and serves over 2.4 million seniors yearly including 500,000 veterans. Rep. Bilirakis recalled delivering meals. Rep. Sanchez called the plan removing food from seniors.
