ROZ oil projects in Permian Basin use CO2 sweep
Ten ROZ based oil projects exist in the San Andres formation across Gaines Yoakum Lea and Andrews counties with Legado Resources active in Ector County. Researchers led by Bob Trentham and Steve Melzer say CO2 enhanced oil recovery could unlock up to 100 billion barrels, while CO2 shortages and incentives from the Summit Texas Clean Energy Project and other federal programs may accelerate more ROZ developments.
