Hamilton's lifelong Odessan arc from NFL dreams to council seat
The Odessa figure Malcolm Hamilton rose from a star Permian High running back to Baylor and an NFL brief career to a 2016 city council campaign. His path included XFL and Arena League stints, frequent moves, eviction and tax issues, and a shift toward investment banking and oil and gas advisory. He now lists city council work as his top position, with financial licensing pursued but unclear current occupation.
