Marguerite Smith McKim Kent aged 89 died March 6 2012 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. Born July 12 1922 in Parkersburg WV to Raymond L McKim Sr and Clara Smith McKim she moved to Pecos in 1960 and served as a Reeves County Auditor. She enjoyed reading golf and family and was active with Reeves County Library and St Marks Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert S Kent and other family members. Survivors include Lyn Katjem Kent Jr and Judy of Austin TX Moss McKim Kent and Karen of Cheyenne WY seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service is set for Friday March 9 at 2 30 at St Marks Episcopal Church.

Lawsuit Dismissed Against Brewster County Sheriff
A federal suit by Tana Gunville against Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson was dismissed. Gunville alleged due process violations and emotional distress after alleged wrongful arrest for wireless access fraud, and claimed collaboration with an initial accuser. Judge Robert Junell granted dismissal citing qualified immunity. Dodson faces another federal case and a separate suit by Freedom Bail Bonds.
