Global and U.S. protests split over possible Iraq war
Across the United States thousands joined rallies both for and against a potential Iraq conflict. In Pittsburgh, Cycle Source Magazine helped sponsor a pro troop event with 1,500 to 2,500 attendees. Washington hosted a March Day of Action for peace led by CodePink with 4,000 to 10,000. Omaha saw about 5,000 supporters while Columbus held a smaller anti war march of nearly 300 souls. Speakers urged unity, warned of civilian suffering, and called for peacemaking.
