Roads Upgrade Projects In Pecos County And West Texass Will Run

TxDOT reports two major highway projects in West Texas. A long stretch from FM 15 west of FM 1927 near Pyote to FM 1219 near Wickett will progress in two mile segments over about 18 months with 70 mph work zone limits and 12 foot lane restrictions. In Pecos County a US 67 bridge rebuild over the Pecos River requires intermittent closures Wednesday and Thursday with flaggers, a 10 foot width limit, and a 45 mph speed limit. renovations aim to shift traffic to the new deck while the old span is rebuilt, with project completion targeted for October. Reece Albert Inc. won the bid at $2,756,477.87.
