Comic book auction nets rare Action Comics No 1 copy
New York AP report notes Steve Geppi, head of Diamond Comic Distributor, bought a copy of Action Comics No 1 at Sot sixth annual sale. The 1938 issue, featuring Superman hoisting a car, is one of about 50 known copies expected to fetch 50 000 to 70 000 dollars. Geppi now owns two copies and calls the find exciting.
