Jury acquits HealthSouth founder Richard Scrushy
Richard Scrushy was acquitted on all 36 counts of fraud false reporting and statements to regulators after a 21 day trial. Jurors said witnesses were not credible and the smoking gun evidence did not point to him. He cried hugged his wife amid cheers outside the Birmingham courthouse.
