Train collision near San Antonio causes gas leak and fatalities

Two freight trains collided near San Antonio causing chlorine and ammonium nitrate gas clouds. An engineer was killed, two bodies found near a nearby house, and up to 50 people suffered minor respiratory symptoms. Several cars derailed and the area was shut for hours.

One detained in $5.2 million armored car heist case

Federal agents and Houston police detained one man and pursue at least three others in the $5.2 million robbery of Triple D Security. The haul included $3.2 million in cash and $2 million in checks from Harris County tax and bail bond funds. Investigators have not recovered the money or checks. The suspect was held near a Fiesta store after a tip to police.
