Trump admin plans border wall models this summer
The Customs and Border Protection agency will fund four to eight companies to build prototypes of President Trump's proposed border wall this summer. Acting Deputy Commissioner Ronald Vitiello said models must be completed within 30 days, noting canyons make wall construction impractical. The 2018 budget proposes 1.6 billion for 74 miles in Texas Rio Grande Valley and San Diego, with 654 miles of fencing currently in place.
