Real estate wire scam targets Texas buyers
A Texas realty company was defrauded when an assistant clicked a phishing link, giving scammers access to emails and contacts. The con artists forged signatures and directed a buyer to wire $50,000 to a fraudulent account, highlighting phishing risks and steps from BBB and FBI IC3 guidance for protection and reporting.
