Robertson questions supremacy of Supreme Court in 1980s bid
Rev. Pat Robertson, eyeing a 1988 GOP bid, tells Washington Post the Supreme Court is not above Congress and the president. He says officials must follow the Constitution and laws but the Court lacks paramount authority, and he would uphold Roe v. Wade only if the law requires it.

Roads, developers, and residents struggle in Ector County
County Engineer Don Bonifay says several unimproved roads exist in Ector County due to developer and landowner disputes over road fixes. Landowners sometimes accept low prices for plots without paved roads, and residents in Gardendale last year voluntarily funded two miles of road work with the developer and paid $10,000 to the county after construction was completed. The landowners must band together, Bonifay notes, as contracts do not obligate the developer to pave.
