Services Set For Couple In Stanton
A double funeral service is set for 4 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Stanton for Roy Wilburn Bouldin and his wife Jessie Lotus Bouldin. Roy, 86, died after a lengthy illness. Jessie, 77, died after a heart attack. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, under Gilbreath Funeral Home. The couple married January 2, 1922, and lived in Stanton from 1941 to 1945. Survivors include four daughters Mildred Howell, Billye Saunders of Stanton, Mozell Yates of Laredo, J A Russell of Hico, 12 grandchildren, and two sisters Gurtie McCrooklin of Independence and Erma Smith of Bay City.

Unidentified Man Buried Near Fort Stockton
The body of an unidentified man found hanging near Fort Stockton was buried at Fast Hill Cemetery under Owens Funeral Home direction. Peace Justice Louis Fielding ruled death by self action as deputies sought the man’s identity via fingerprints. Henry W. Willbanks, 70, Fort Stockton, died at Pecos County Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Northside Baptist Church with burial in Frost Hill Cemetery under Owens Funeral Home management. Willbanks, a rancher who moved from Brady in 1913, was born Brownwood December 15, 1899 and married Allie Mae Love December 18, 1928. He was survived by W. L. Willbanks of Brownwood, W. D. Willbanks of Big Spring, Mrs. D. F. Deweese, and Mrs. Addred Mae Bryan of Pampa.

District police crack down after clashes with Panthers
