Jon M. Huntsman named chairman of the American Red Cross International Services Committee. Huntsman, founder of Huntsman Corp, has donated hundreds of millions to relief and medical causes and has served on the Red Cross board since 1997. The committee oversees service delivery under the Red Cross Board of Governors.
President Bush told Hispanic leaders the INS should be divided into a welcoming unit for legitimate immigrants and a tougher border enforcement arm. Washington AP reports scientists from public and private efforts at a White House ceremony stated the human genome is essentially deciphered.
