Frog collector musician Bennett ties art, education, community ties
Odessa musician Bennett describes his career and local ties. He recalls joining after the Odessa Symphony began, notes the Civic Concert Association, a classical radio station, and a fine art museum. He began frog collecting after a student joke and now preserves a studio full of ceramic, plastic, and cloth frogs. Bennett published music and contributed choral pieces for Hood Junior High. Willis Music published his educational piano works. He recalls autographing music in San Antonio and praise from the Texas Music Teachers Association.
