Caddel bans fireworks cooking out in Ector County
Ector County Judge Jerry D. Caddel issued an executive order declaring a countywide state of emergency that bans all outdoor cooking and use of fireworks. The order cites extreme drought and fire danger with rules for welders and a June heat pattern. Professional fireworks shows remain allowed under restrictions. Firecracker Fandango’s July 4 display may be the only legal show.
