Survivors Comedy Satirizes Survivalists With Williams and Matthau

In a funny offbeat spoof, Robin Williams and Walter Matthau star as two laid off workers who, after losing jobs amid Reaganomics, join a North Woods survivalist camp run by con man Wes. Jerry Reed plays a mobster turned victim, while peril and paranoia swirl as they confront armed fantasies and a looming showdown.

E T designer to reassemble device for museum birthday

Henry Feinberg, who designed E T s space communicator for the Spielberg film, will rebuild the device for Chicago s Museum of Science and Industry during The Science Jubilee July 15 17. He says the device could have sent a message to space but would have violated FCC rules. Feinberg notes every part worked except the transmitter and explains why it never transmitted.
