Clifford Earl Shannon, 17, of 1205 West South, died when his car hit a Ferguson Trucking Co. truck at West County Road and West 23rd. He was pronounced dead at Medical Center Hospital at 2:30 p.m. Investigators say Shannon tried to turn left and avoid the northbound truck.
