Kibler wins a tight 18 singles final in Midland after Bramlett falters late. Kibler gains momentum with a late set points conversion and holds to take the first set tiebreak 7 1. In the second set Bramlett struggles, dropping four games as Kibler seals with a 5-4 break and 6-2 finish. The Highway 80 circuit resumes in Midland with other doubles winners and the ongoing tour.
Lakeview High School sophomores to be the Lopez twins posted a strong start in doubles, losing only 14 games across their first four matches before a second-set tiebreaker with Hey and Hohn. They show signs of improvement and resilience on the court.
The two sisters, Manda and Janda, describe seamless communication on the court as they leverage their bond and teamwork to secure identical first place trophies in the Highway 80 event. Their intuition and sisterly connection give them a built in edge in matches.

McMullen teamed with Murphy Davis of Wichita Falls to defeat Dopson and Brad Walker of Abilene 3 6 6 4 6 1 after their championship efforts in doubles. Amarillo’s Hinnant won 12s and Chad Winchester of San Antonio won 14s. Davis clashed with Dopson verbally during their Davis Dopson doubles match, prompting protests over line calls and prolonged delays as Dopson returned verbal and racket impact outbursts.
