District Attorney drops murder charge against Irving man
The Ector County District Attorney dismissed a murder charge in the case of Gary Russell Lemarr, indicted last July for the stabbing death of 60 year old Donald Gene Sisson. A lack of witness reliability and no scientific link led to the dismissal on June 12, with Lemarr released and traveling to Dallas. Police connected the crime by locating Sisson’s decomposed body, a VCR with Lemarr’s name at a pawn shop, and a stolen station wagon found in Irving.
