Monahans man faces murder trial over 2010 shooting
A 52 year old Monahans man, Juan Luis Bejarano, is set for murder trial Tuesday in 385th District Court for the Nov 6 2010 shooting in a mobile home park. He allegedly killed 58 year old Ger ardo Bustamantes and shot 72 year old Pedro Morales during an argument with a .22 caliber revolver. Bustamantes died after transfer from Medical Center Hospital to Hospice House. Bejarano is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Jury selection begins at 9 a.m. with Judge Bill McCoy presiding.
