Three Interstate road projects planned around Pecos area
Jones Brothers Dirt and Paving Contractors Inc will start three road projects in Pecos over the coming months. An Interstate 20 refurbishment from mile marker 14 to the Reeves County line will cost 5 million dollars and may close lanes but should finish before September. A 1.3 million maintenance job replaces pavement on bridges over the Pecos River near mile markers 48 and 49 on I 20 and proceeds with flagger guidance, finishing by August 31. A 2.6 million seal coat project covers 43 miles of Interstate 10 starting July 5, with several sites, while all roads stay open or narrow to one lane with caution near work zones.
