Rainfall Rises But Fails to Break Valley Drought
In Harlingen, modest rain across the Rio Grande Valley offers little drought relief. Reservoirs remain well below capacity, with U.S. shares at 35 percent of Amistad and Falcon Dam. Cotton irrigation continues, and farmers welcome any improved irrigation water quality as rainfall is spotty and temperatures climb.
