State Aquarium staffers bond with animals in Corpus Christi
At the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi staffers build daily bonds with sea turtles and other creatures. Squirt the green sea turtle favors greens. Einstein the Hawksbill enjoys back scratches. Dani loves strawberries. Tiki the Loggerhead mainly eats shrimp or fish. The facility survived a 2015 fish kill from mislabeled treatment, and expansion plans totaling 50 million dollars aim to add Caribbean Journey, a 65,000 square foot wing with an education center, opening in 2017.
