DPS said the flight from Albuquerque disappeared before dawn, with the last beacon location about 16 miles south of Amarillo. Two beacons were logged around 2 a.m. The pilot reportedly set off then corrected the distress beacon, with no overdue aircraft reports from Albuquerque.
